hand painted bolero took forever to make, very very happy with the chiffon I found, which was on sale. It was supposed to be for Forever New.

I think I've used about a roll of calico to create the ruffles, I still need to do the lining, add more ruffles, finish the neckpiece.

Dress with about 300 pattern pieces that are hand bleached to create an ombre effect. cutting the fabric took about 6 hours.

2012 Resort

It seems like the biggest trend of coming resort season is seizure inducing super vibrant floral prints in many many many different colours. This time around we are talking about matching vibrant prints with prints and then more vibrant prints.

Our Stella has won Britich Designer of the Year Award recently, and she seems to be feeling very optimistic and laid back. I have never paid any attention to her designs, but I must say I am in love with her tropical, almost Hawain shirt prints

So far, Givenchy is my absolute favourite collection, Ricardo Tisci is continuing with the theme of his uber chic womens collection of previous season (Zara has picked up on this and offers pieces that are quite similar). I am in love with all the prints, if I can my hands on some of the tops in bigger sizes, I would not hestitate to wear them (that is if I had money to buy Givenchy)
